Deserted and shun, where do you go to find solace?
Where can you go to cry, Heart?
Deserted and shunned,
You are alone.
Misery taunts you in the daybreak
and mocks you in the eventide.
It never leaves your side.
It is your tormentor;
your worst nightmare.
It laughs at your pain.
Where can you go to find solace, Heart?
I answer you with this:
there is a meadow full of love and peace.
There one voice alone – a haunting cry – echoes across the expanse.
This is where in solace I can cry.
I lie amid the pasture green
and I listen to the music;
the music carries me through the darkest nights.
The Blue-stem grass whispers softly in my ear while
Wild Lupine sings a sweet melody
and the crickets chirp the harmony.
A family of wood mice meanders from their home
and nestle in the crook of my arm and
Bambi hides in the long delicate grass sleeping.
A Marbled White butterfly lands in my palm.
She tickles me with her feet and
blesses me with a kiss.
This is where I go to cry.
I go to the meadow in my dreams
where I am not alone and I am loved.
This is where in solace my heart can lie.
