There are a few around but they are getting hard to find.

Where have all the Cowboys gone

The men who work everyday till dusk and start at dawn

Working hard is his challenge not something he dreads

He understands you have to work hard to get ahead

His mistakes are his he owns up to the wrong he does

A simple man his family his country and his god he loves

A man of character you can value the promises he makes

A handshake can seal a deal it’s a promise he will not break

He doesn’t need a break every two hours he works till the job is done

He does what needs to be done before he goes looking for fun

Where have all the Cowboys gone, I don’t know we need them back

The strong independent man is something our society seems to lack

Boys are raised to be soft they complain about getting dirt on their hands

The spend their days building muscles and working on their tans

When it comes to promises they hardly understand what the word means

They have lost the ability to set goals, challenge themselves or even dream

We need to bring back the Cowboy he needs to ride in to save the day

Our boys need to grow up to be men we need to be able to trust what they say

Very nice poem. I like cowboys. I wish they would come back.
