Words for when words aren’t enough.

Don’t grieve for me my sweetheart

I’ve lived life to its very best

I’m heading on a journey

I’m heading towards the west

Let go my hand and set me free

His peace will enter me

I’ll wait for you there, my darling

I’ll look for you there, my darling

I’ll wait for you there, my darling

Where rainbows sleep and the sun melts into the sea

Don’t grieve for me my sweetheart

As death lays heavy on my chest

I’m heading on a journey

I’m entering life’s rest

When time comes for you to join me

A watching I will be

I’ll wait for you there, my darling

I’ll look for you there, my darling

I’ll wait for you there, my darling

Where rainbows sleep and the sun melts into the sea

That is so good and the concept so original that somehow it isn’t even sad as it may have been otherwise.

I love the images! I mean–they too– at some pont, must rest!
personally, I did not need “Death lay heavy on my chest!” I could feel the weight in the poem. Good Job. I have not had the time to give to triond as I would like. This is still one of my favorite past times and soon I will be able to spend more time with it. I will remember you and always keep you close at heart and mind! Cool!

Steve’s right, great title and beautiful lyrics, quite sad though but lovely as always.

Beautiful – sad and yet hopeful – let go my hand and set me free… Yes I agree, Fegger could put some music to this one!

Lovely poem. The repetition of lines were great. Thanks.

This is beautiful, and its definitely necessary. I’ve been on this boat before.

You could almost sing this Katie Marie :-) Rainbows are not only a natural beautiful thing..they symbolise hope..and they’re also a sign that good things are coming. There is so much love, warmth and respect in this. The decline and death of someone close to you is one of life’s most difficult separations..we’ve all lost a loved one at some time or another.. and after you read this..you go away feeling a profound sense of completion and continuity :-)
