I’m on a journey each passing day

treading a path, uncertain of the way

but holding on to the Savior’s hand

the road seems easy as He planned.

Each time I lose sight of the right direction

battling with pride, self will and confusion

but yielding on to His promises

drives me back with steadfastness.

As I continue to travel on life’s highway

the more it becomes narrow, too far away

but trusting my Lord’s assuring words

keeps me on the right tract as He works.

Wherever this journey takes me along

either the traffic is too short or too long

but having Christ Jesus as my guide

brings me tightly closer to His side.
