Wherever the road takes you,

you ought to remember;

Things are not always as you hope for,

life isn’t always fine weather.

The days are not always sunny

for clouds often times gather;

Just when you expect bountiful harvest,

what you get is much leaner.

Oft times the sea is deceptively calm

as a gale brews into a squall,

But if it’s not time to hit rock-bottom,

there’ll be a sudden lull.

Today, you may be on bumpy road-

no reason to despair;

Move on, who knows,

ahead lies a well-paved thoroughfare,

Wherever the road takes you,

there’s no cause for alarm;

Just reach out to the Father

Who extends His loving arm.
