Dedicated to my friend to help her through a rough time in her life. It talks about having faith that God will be there to help her.

When you are getting hit left and right,
And surviving takes all of your might,
Everything keeps coming so fast,
You feel as though you’re getting whiplash.
With all the problems in which you’re mired,
You have worked well beyond the point of tired.
Too large a goal is a single day.
For an hour, maybe, you can keep things at bay.
All of these lessons forced to learn,
So dizzy you know not where to turn.
In desperation you start to cry,
Why bother even to try?
You have tried to give up, tried to let go.
But your heart keeps pulling you to and fro.
You say, “Stop, Lord, please. This is enough.
Why didn’t you make me from stronger stuff?”
The Father lifts your eyes so you can see,
“My child, this is all for you to know Me.”
Unless you have felt the wrath of the storm,
You cannot value the peace of His arms.
Not from hardship does He promise us to spare,
But from being alone, our souls left bare.
The God Who formed you will continue His plan,
With ways that are impossible to understand.
More than you can handle He never gives,
Through Him only can you live.
In all of these trials you must face,
You will survive if God has first place.
