Dream English sonnet.

A whisper of a dream as yet undone
Has once again returned to call on me
To claim its place among my memory
And there with me to share the setting sun

Companion of the things I didn’t see
Content to say that I was on the run
You waited as another tale was spun
To take your part in all that used to be

Will you now take this withered age’d hand
Of one who didn’t even hear you cry

Will you help me to try and understand
How foolish men could let a dream slip by

Oh dream was this the life that we had planned
At last to join together in a sigh

You waited as another tale was spun
To take your part in all that used to be
    like these lines
