Being still can sometimes guide the soul from troubles of the world. We must be able to listen to the whispered voice within us.

Silently I sit in the dark,

My room indigo and calm,

Your whispered voice I seek to hear,

My life you need to steer.

I sit and stare into the abyss,

My pain I cannot dismiss,

Black, Black, Black is my soul,

My joy the darkness stole,

Please help me get control,

I have fallen into a black hole,

Your whispered voice I seek to hear,

Dear lord, lend me your ear,

Teach me how not to fear,

Make my path abundantly clear

Silently I sit in the dark,

Waiting, waiting, waiting,

To hear your voice

    A well-knit poetry. Good work.

Awesome! You are a poet in my league. Your creativity is reflected in your style. There is a voice within us that we do not usually listen to when we should. It is the voice of reassurance and faith.
