Giving hope, guidance, love.

Tell me the point in planting a seed,
Nurturing the flower in hopes that it will bloom,
Just to watch that flower die.
You grew with that flower that was once a seed,
And now, it’s over, but you try again,
And yet again, that flower of a different type dies.
Do you bother to plant the seed once more?
Or do you retreat and call it a day.
I did all I could to take care of that flower,
I watered the seed,
Placed it in the warmth of the sunlight,
I cared for it with all my heart.
I gave that seed everything that I could possibly give it,
I told that seed that grew into a flower,
My secrets,
My fears.
I told that seed that one day,
One day,
One day,
I was going to change,
But knowing I told this flower so,
And seeing that it won’t be there for me,
To see my trials and errors,
Hurts me,
That hurt is bottled inside me,
The cap is on tight now so I feel nothing,
But the worst part was right before it died,
It whispered to me three words,
You are nothing,
I cried from those words which came from its roots,
I cleared my head but couldn’t shake what it said,
But now I understand what that flower was doing,
It said what it said so I would move on to keep pursing,
My dreams and goals and everything said,
I move on to prove the statement wrong that it said,
But with everything now,
I know that it said,
I love you.
