Written for a friend who would always lie to me but wanted to change.

Black heart full of white lies.
I recognize your disguise.
You don’t be my demise.
Your disintegration is on the rise.
By now I see you as clear as day.
For your death, there will be no delay.
I have come here only to say.
Your white lies won’t live here today.
Death becomes you in your palest shade.
I believe no more stories that you made.
I can see your sky fading to gray,
But only for today.
Give me your broken soul, so I can mend.
No more angry words, just advice to lend.
Never shall I condescend.
I could be a confidant, a friend.
Put those white lies to rest.
Lighten the blackened heart that plays the pessimist.
In my warm home you can never resist.
The twinkle of truth blanketed in the cool mist.
Do not visit the graveyard where deceit reigns as king.
Call on the angels of honesty, for they hold the key.
When life brings on that callous uncertainty.
Hope sprouts wings and a song to sing.
But there is always another to bring life to the white lies.
Turn your heart way; cast them out of sight.

Very well stated. I relate to this poem, in that I know people like that who tell white lies. The details within this poem were so passionately expressed. Great job.

    Take Care,

So many layers to uncover and unwrap. A new meaning every time, great stuff.
