A question someone asked me, and I found myself at a loss for words at the time.

“Who are you?” you ask me

And what can I say?

Because, truth be told,

I wonder the same

I’m shy but I’m caring

Guilty yet kind

Concerned for my future

I miss what’s behind

Fun-loving and lonely

Hopeful but scared

Ready for anything

But still unprepared

I’m sure but confused

Nostalgic and witty

Feel sorry for myself

But don’t want your pity

You ask who I am

You fool, can’t you see?

I’m everything and nothing

In fact, I’m just me

I feel the words popping line after line. Very nice work, and enjoyable to read.
