About someone who has fell out of love; yet they stay for the children and because they feel the other will be lost without them. so what do you do?

Who Should Be Happy You or Me? Who should be happy you or me?

If I stay I’ll live in complete misery.

I will go through life with anger and rage

Knowing that I’ve kept myself locked in this cage.

Wondering what joys I could have had

Wondering if love lost me or is it dead.

Walking around with my emotions boggled up inside

Because you don’t listen, you’ve got too much pride.

Feeling a sense of hopelessness,

Tossing and turning; it’s been days since I got rest.

Chaos all around me but know one to scream to

Wondering if you will make it, when I tell you I’m through.

Who should be happy you or me?

Should I abandon you knowing how helpless you would be?

Feeling guilty because I am all that you know

You’re like a child who needs assistance to grow.

You have gained so much from me, yet I yet to gain from you,

You’ve accomplished most of your dream, but me one or two.

It’s really sad because we have a family

But is it really a family, or just mommy and daddy?

Are they gaining anything, or are we making it worse?

Through our constant fighting and the words that we curse.

Who should be happy you or me?

I don’t know yet but I hope it’s you and me.

I’m sure it is a hard choice as to which is best but I think that if two people can live in peace for the sake of their children and they want to stay together until the children are adults then that’s ok but if there is going to be more drama than there would be if the two split then it’s best to split other wise just having all the drama and fighting can damage the kids.

Something many have wondered what is the right thing to do. Nicely written !

This is a well written poem that projects familiar misery in many relationships. I agree with SA.The children’s enviroment is so important. You often have to acquire private time to hash it out. We know yelling doesn’t accomplish much;except of course high blood pressure or a stroke. Making a checklist of the positive aspects of one’s mate helps to clear the air against the negatives. Many times the negatives are not as bad as they seem.Quite a bit of not getting along stems from poor communication. It good to keep the dating up etc. by going out more.Even long walks together cast memories of “the way we were”
