Wine and excuses.

Who’s to blame

Md. Rezaul Karim, Assistant Professor, Southern University Bangladesh

I took a whisky with drops of water-

Got drunk.

I took a brandy with little water-

Got drunk.

Then thought why not another-

Took vodka with some water-

Got drunk

I quit hard drinks- gone for another-

Even beer with drops of water-

And again got drunk.

My friend asks the reason-

Reason for getting drunk?

Don’t you see it’s not me-

Nor the drinks-

It’s the water

That’s the guilty one be.
