Poetry by Thomas Arminio.
why brother why
this is the tale of brotherly love and the affect it has on our youth today
you are my brother and you look out for me
you taught me how to fight
you taught me how to love
you taught me how to be a man all with a gentle shove in the right direction
you are my big brother and you always show affection
but why brother why couldnt you control your erection
do you remember the nights you showed me the hard facts of life
youd come into my room and id try to fight
you say you did it out of love and you care about my feelings
you want to make your big brother happy dont you
yes i said yes i do
i swear this will be the last time i ask
i heard that every time
but all i could do was lay there and cry
i learned a lot of life lessons from these events
i learned the fucked up truth at an early age
now i have all this built up rage
im a prisoner trapped in cage
i see you all the time
i let you get away with the ultimate crime
your living life and a good one at that
im addicted to drugs and societies black sheep
you fucked me up bad i scream in my sleep
why brother why did you teach me those lessons
i cant turn back time
what’s done is done
youve created a monster with no feelings at all
only dark memories written on my wall
now i teach others what you taught me
the hard facts of life they should never have to see
i guess it runs through our veins
corrupting the young and enjoying there pain
watching them hang there heads low in shame
one thing that’s different between me and you
you can live with what youve done but i cannot
i will repent for the lives ive ruined
then with one last breath
ill blow my brains out and learn about death
