Why do I need to ask you if I can love you or not, when I never asked you to acknowledge my love even from the start?

                       1

I wonder why I need to ask you,

I wonder why I need to let you know.

When I never ask you to love me,

I never ask you to acknowledge my love.

As long as you will let me love you, even from a far distant.

                            2

Why I cannot teach my heart not to love you;

Why I cannot tell my heart to let you go,

When you are never mine from the start.

Why do I hurt my heart?

When I know I am free to love someone else who can love me too.

                           3

Why do I insist myself to keep loving you,

When I know you are next to impossible to be true.

Why does my heart knows only one name that defines love.

And that name belongs to only one and that is you,

You, who never knew how much my heart longed for one and only you.

Sometimes, though it hurts we must learn to try to face the truth about loving someone who can never love us back. Yes, it is easier said than done, but we can always give it a try.

    Beautiful and sad.

    Why does love have to be so complicated? I went through the same thing until I realized that there was nothing for me to do other than accept it and move on. I guess it’s only fair for you to know how the other person feels if you didn’t ask for him to acknowledge your love from the beginning. Love shouldn’t have to be one-sided. It’s not fair to the person who is giving it unconditionally. You can get hurt in the process.

    use caution and commonsense in love

    That is really sad. Even tragic. It sounds like being in love with an unattainable concept of love and assigning an unattainable person to it. It is all unattainable. Robert Frost, in his poem “A Swinger of Birches” wrote, “Earth’s the right place for love. I don’t know where it’s likely to go better.” But love here on Earth is imperfect, but attainable.

    @Love Doctor ,

    I wonder why love -sometimes- complicated :(
    But still it’s sweet to fall in love no matter how complicated it is :)

    @ erwinkennythomas,

    Common sense is often times disregarded when love strikes.

    Love is beautiful, but it hurts when the person you love you know will never love you back. However, imaginatory love has its advantages – in your imagination you can do whatever you want with that person, live and imaginatory relationship exactly the way you want it and with the things you can never have in real life. If you have the imagination to love this way, you’ll figure out how to take the best of it.
