About my inadequacies with the computer, and trying to get readers.

I am computer incompatible
We are like oil and water
As my frustration grows
My temperament gets hotter
Now I can change a manifold
Or spark plugs and the wires
But when the computer
Won’t do what I want
It sets my blood on fire
My readers numbers
Are dwindling
They are becoming less
And less
So I inquire upon you
To put this to the test
Please share with others
That my humor
Is the best
Or I may have
To put
The writing dream
To rest
I can not survive
On three dollars
In a month
I need more clicks
And readers
Or my days of this
Will be few

Oh, we all feel that way! You can’t leave because we’ll miss you terribly! Patience, is the key word.

Bo Jack heres a click you can’t go anywhere I’d miss you now. Frustration is a part of writing. Your words put it correctly. Keep on keeping on my friend.

Frustration is setting in, that’s all Bojack. Don’t let it get to you that you’re earnings per month are small – I’ve been on here since early summer ‘08 and never yet reached a $1 payment!

Besides that, here’s something to inspire you – and this is also true: I’ve never had more than 10 comments on any single article!

So let the frustration go and keep on writing, and forget about earning huge sums of money from writing, very few do. I hope I’ve managed to lift your spirits a little?

We all have the same thoughts BoJack. When i found Triond and started to publish some of my work, it was just more or less an experiment on my part to see if anyone out there liked my stuff. I didn’t think of it as being a second income which it definitely hasn’t. I just wanted to see if i was wasting my time writing poetry. To my surprise, i have met a lot of very talented people who i now consider my friends, and enjoy reading their material. I have had a lot of very nice comments on my work, and that tells me that people seem to enjoy what i do, and so do i. Keep your chin up and continue rolling your material out.

Ditto what they said. You have a lot of talent and from what I can tell a lot of fans as well. I don’t think any of us are going to get rich from our Triond earnings, but it is a great place to test the waters. I like the idea of having a reason to write every day. It keeps the creative juices flowing. I really hope you don’t quit. This too shall pass.

Don’t leave! Please, don’t leave! I have been writing here since March 2007 and I haven’t recieved a check yet. I have finally learned how to network and place my articles on search engines. So I am finally starting to earn a little more. Don’t give up. Look at this as extra income if you get it. It takes a long time to make money at writing, that is just the name of the game. I have been trying to have my book published for close to 8 months now and I have not given up. Well I almost gave up a few times. You are a joy to read. You are fresh and funny. Are you senting your links to your e-mail friends and family and asking them to share with their e-mail group? Don’t leave I like you. Please don’t leave. I might need you to fix my car, I couldn’t.

Good luck with your computer and don’t leave Triond. I agree that $3 isn’t much–but it beats no $3. And anyway, I have fun writing the articles and reading people’s stuff. For me it’s less about the money (although to be honest, if there wasn’t money involved I probably wouldn’t do it) than about the fun of it…

Okay, I just tried to imagine Triond without BoJack, and it took me a minute to recover. We must not allow this horrible vision to become reality!
Seriously, Bo, you can’t leave. By all means take a break, but come back soon :) If you don’t, who will keep me laughing and crying when I’m here? (the former more often than the latter, thankfully)

  • QuinMonty86 on Jan 29, 2009

Let’s see. I’ve been here since Dec. 11, 08 and still have yet to break the 2.00 mark. You are not alone, Bo. Please don’t go. (always the poet, I know)
    ok, I’m done. :)
