You should have taken the proper action

There’s no way Florida should have been given to you

Unless you won the vote of the Democratic Jew

Instead of facing facts and calling Mister Gore to concede

You stole the keys to the White House and began to mislead

First up came Nine/Eleven

A tragedy you spun into Heaven

Osama, al Qaeda was all you had to say

‘Til we were off to the desert to save the day

But instead of finding Osama, our public enemy number one

We revisited the Bush Vendetta, started by father, continued by son

You baited the hook with Saddam Hussein, Iraq, and the WMD

And oh, the American people swallowed the bait ever so foolishly

The mission was “accomplished,” just a few months in

With millions of rednecks proclaiming “we got him!”

But as months went by and body counts rose

There were no WMDs for you to dispose

Meanwhile at home, the backlash became great

And November 2004 promised a fresh, clean slate

But you and your boy Rove continued your trend

Of lies, trickery, and deceit to get the win

With the election now gone and no one to answer to

Operation:  Iraqi Freedom began to look like Vietnam II

But thankfully, it now seems that your jig is finally up

Americans have tired of your foreign policy:  “back off and shut up”

With hostility in the Middle East and Asia traced back to you

A change of scenery in Washington is long overdue

And while it is impractical to hope you are impeached

A Democratic Congress is very much within reach

With the House and Senate out of your grasp

America can finally take you to task

Soon enough, this failed, rich-man’s experiment will end

And all the friendships you’ve shattered will mend

I’ll ask one question before this new era hits

Tell me, Mr. President, why did you do it?
