A lover deserts you ere the love starts.

Why

Why did you make friends with me?

If only my heart

You had to break finally

Why did you come into my life?

So strangely

Why did you leave so abruptly?

So suddenly

Why did you come?

At all into my life unknowingly

You return to me those stolen moments

Of joy and sorrow

I did share

Come back tomorrow

If for my love you care

No sex, only friendship

Is all I ask?

Don’t ever again

Wear a mask

Of glowing sadness,

Hidden face

Oh my life

Why did you again retrace

Those lost and forgotten moments

Gone past

Come return to me my love at last
