Just another simple poem from a simple poet dealing with the passing of time.

When I was quite a bit younger

It seemed that time stood still.

Christmas was forever in coming

And life was such a thrill.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

But now as years creep in on me

The month’s they fly on by.

My days seem to run together

First it’s morning, then it’s night.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Things that once thrilled me

Now seem to all have flown.

Along with many hopes and dreams

For they too are now all gone.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

How did my life take this turn

Where did it go astray

Of all the paths I could have trod

Why do I walk this way.
