Sometimes you feel just like a cold and gray day…

It was cold

It was dreary

Clouds were gray

Her mind weary

Dampness touched her

Nose and fingers

Causing shivering

That lingers

She folded arms

Across her chest

Reached inside

Her mind for rest

Rest from doubt
Rest from aching
Peace for a heart
That’s always breaking
It was as if the
Sun had known
And for that reason
Left her alone
Hidden behind
Clouds of gray
Never bothering
To shine today
Why, she thought

Why? Why me?

Why not came an answer,

Why not thee?

Extraordinary, and slightly different for you. A very enjoyable read :-)

    Deep and somber.

Jerry, thanks for your support. Michigan has been full of cold rainy weather of late. Two weeks ago it was 84 for a day. Last Monday it snowed. God really is a “quick change” artist.

RoeHill, thank you for your comment.

    Take care and God bless.

I like stormy weather and grey skies, cuddle time with my blanket.

Made me really, REALLY, smile. We are so quick to expect nothing but the best for ourselves. Why not the worst? At least once in a while? God must be having that question all the while when we lamented.

Uma, glad I could make you smile and those were my thoughts too. Often we expect it all to be perfect for ourselves, our idea of perfect anyway. :-)

    Valli, thank you.

    Chipmunk, you are welcome.

Darlene, you are welcome. Love your new avatar.

Thanks so much. Take care and God bless!

Judy, we do have our bad days, We can’t be bright and cheery every day. More’s the pity.
