Why should I believe a word you say?

When I see that you are not that, which you portray,
Lies won’t mend any bridges,
They only broaden the existing ridges,
I will not be fooled,
When you pretend to care,
I will not believe that you will always be there,
The little lies make you my enemy,
I have realised that what you say is not worth a penny,
Spin more yarns, I don’t care,
Just know that one day I won’t be there,
Who am I?
I am me,
True to myself I will always be.

Sadly said I think we all know this type and pray to have the strength to remove ourselves from this influence. Be true to thine self. Well written!

I really liked this poem and everyone should always be true to thee self. Because it’s sad to say but true you are the only one that can and will be.
