It’s questions that I ask, what ifs about how life could be and why it is not what it might have been.
What if life was just a merry little jig,
Which would give a merry little laugh,
To all who were alive in this world today,
Wouldn’t that be nice?
What if life was like cotton candy,
And everything was sweet and fuzzy,
And it made you feel as if life was just a lump of sugar,
Wouldn’t that be nice?
What if life was like a book,
And you could jump over those boring pages
And enjoy the good ol times any time you liked,
Wouldn’t that be nice?
What if life was like a apple tree,
And you could pick and choose the sweetest and redest apple,
And with one bit find happiness and be content,
Wouldn’t that be nice?
But life is just the same old thing,
With everyday a new experience,
And I am quite happy with it the way it is,
Cause the cotton candy just gets too dang sticky and is hard to clean off my clothes.
