Its about a girl in the wrong relationship. She yearns to be free and is then rescued by someone that she really loves and she learns to be happy again and is not afraid of loving.
It lifted me up when I was real down,
It took me away from been mixed up with a clown.
I went to places to get away from a mess,
I was angry and hurt but loved nobody less.
It took me from pain you could see in my eyes,
From life falling apart when no one else tries.
It carried me over the mountains looking down on the sea.
I was thinking inside, beauty’s been free.
It showed me happiness, now I know how to love,
Because I was lifted by the wings of a Dove.
