I have watched a couple of them in my life time
But only a few can boast of a lasting impression
Only a few sank a message

“Winner winner chicken dinner”
That should ring a bell
If you know what am talking about

He’s just approaching 21
On the brink of Harvard
And just one question stands between him and his dreams
“What’s your story?”

Watching with my thoughts in my head
I couldn’t but identify with this young man
Especially in this competitive world
Where your dreams are challenged and tested on a daily basis

You could say the movie was just an act
One of those stories with another happy ending
You know what?
I took it “P”
Personal I mean
It was a lot more than 90+ minutes of card counting and the good life in Vegas
It deepened my reasoning
It sharpened my imagination and view of life
Just like the book “outliers” did

You can have the degrees
The wealth
And a whole lot of knowledge and exposure
But the contending issue remains one
So does a million and one others

In view of this
I made a list of questions whose answers matter
I call them the “unique identifiers”

What’s your story?
What’s your edge?
What’s your experience?
What’s the dazzle in your story?
What distincts you?
How well have you accounted for variable change in your life ordeals?

And the words ring again
