Winter time.

A winter breeze flows in the trees

Snowflakes falling round and round

In a whirling circle extending arms grasp in a freeze

Crashing onto a white blanket atop the ground.

Bare trees hide their shame

Shadows cuddle in the distance

In a dark room a flicker of flame

Frost blows against windows as if he’s in existence.

Look around all is silent in the house

Fires roar as a tree sits high with colors of joy

Peacefully sleeping look under the mat for the mouse

Snowflakes watch the house and wait for the wrapped toys
