A found poem of the play Antigone, by Sophocles.

They too discern but they refrain their tongues at your behest.

The enemy can never be a friend, even in death.

No woman, while I live, shall order me.

For even bold men flinch,

When they view Death hard by the verge of Life.I cannot fight at odds with destiny

I have learnt, I know my wretchedness!

Haven of Death, how should I please thee

To end this breath?

Come quick I pray,

Let me not look upon another day,

Bring my day’s final date!
