Poem.
As excited as a little child, and always just as wild
the tube can’t hear your outrage, I plead as I turn the page
TOUCHDOWN!! he screams with glee, and I wonder if it’s just me
Just one more quarter–he explains–what about “Big Brother” I exclaim!
PENALTY??!! he frowns, while jumping up and down
My voice falls on deaf ears, and this goes on for years
I always wonder, in a way, will he grow up today?!
