A day at the races.

Image via Wikipedia

Lady luck sang,

there was a slight cough,

the bells rang,

and they’re off!

Without breaking stride

the racehorse passed

the finish line,

right on time,

it was a good sign,

she could see the crowd

turning their heads,

as she appeared,

stunned by the sudden

turn of events,

she was fast,

picked to finish dead last.

That was a pretty funny one man. Nice twist of fate there. You definately picked a winner fom where I sit. Cool piece.

Nicely done, sir! And did you have a specific horse in mind when you wrote this?

(grammatically, you have one error that would make it read easier; “The racehorse past the finish line” past should be spelled passed.)
