June has been a month without sun. In the north east all it has done is rain and now seems to be taking a toll on us all.

The month of June has had no sun, filled with lots of rain.

and no matter what I do, I still just feel such pain.

Each morning when I arise and out the window I do see

another day of dampness and no sun on that great big tree.

I don’t know what is happening but this morning when I awoke

my skin it was all itchy and red that seemed to just have broke.

My throat had something in it and I could not get it out,

the lozenges that I chewed upon did not help, and I began to pout.

When I cleared my throat the sounds that was heard,

kinda of reminded me of some sort of bird.

I decided it was time for me to see that doctor dear,

and see if he could help me, cause I was feeling a little queer.

As he entered in the office closer he came to me,

with his spectacles down on his nose he came to me to see.

I asked what he thought it was, what about these itchy dots

He stared but did not answer me, do you think I need a shot?

He looked at me for a long time and this is what he said,

it seems that these are feathers dear, as he looked at me with dread.

Oh my, I asked how did this happen, and with a little cluck,

he said to me if  the sun don’t shine, you’ll be a full blown duck.

Great play of words. You just converted your cold pangs into an artful poem. I hope you don’t fly too far from Triond with the changing seasons. Your poem is really a fun one to read.

Great poem – really cute and fun! Sorry for all the weather… it actually sounds really lovely to me… I do adore rain, but desert living does that to one, I guess ; ). Turning into a duck would be a quite odd ramification of the weather, though, and a bit of an incovenience, too, hehe.

This is great, linda. We finally got some sunshine today after days of rain. Unfortunately, it is going to rain today.

Thank you for your comment on my poem, here where I live I’ve got plenty of sunny days, do you want me to give ya’ll some of this sun, it’s been like in the 100s here in Oklahoma

A very funny poem. I know how you feel. We usually have a lot of rain here in June, but this year it is actually hot and sunny, a little too hot maybe, but we should be thankful.
