….

Dear, Dearer, Dearest Friends

In case you are interested to write Haiku poems like I do, and not very sure how to count the syllable for the words, so that you can apply the 5-7-5 syllable format, you can refer to this website.  It can guide you in the counting, of course this website is not applicable for haiku poems only, also useful for other purposes.

http://www.wordcalc.com/

For example, I used to think the word “VERY” contains 2 syllables, but I just realised that it has only 1 syllable.

The word “beautiful” has 3 syllables, and “ugly” only 1 syllable, I was confused at first.  Why? What? How? Which? Where? When?

Anyway, I am also learning, and I find it more fun to share with you, and you can guide me along too.  We learn from one another, okay?

Okay, I will try one haiku straight away with the 5-7-5 syllable format.  Also, I personally think that we should also try to rhyme it, not only about the correct format, it is more enjoyable to read.

Happy writing my dear friends

I will comment what I can

Every now and then

How?  Can I pass this test?  Hahaha.. I am sure I can write better if you allow me a bit more time…

Best regards from “Your Beloved Me”

:)

Star, I don’t know how to count syllable for the words. That’s why I find it so difficult to write haiku and other poems. The web site you recommended is new to me. I will check it out. Thanks a lot.

  • Lady Sunshine on Dec 16, 2011

Wow! LCM Linda is such a supportive friend. She likes to read your old posts, it seems. Most people don’t like to do that. Hope you’re reading her old posts too, Star. :D Anyways, nice post. I wonder if that word count calculator is accurate?

  • Starpisces on Dec 16, 2011

    tks friends again. ;)

@Lady Sunshine – thanks for reading my old posts too. Totally agree with you, yes, Linda is a very supportive friend, though I don’t read much of her old posts but she still continue to read mine, seeing her so supportive, I have the urge to write more to tell you the truth, that’s one of the reasons why I still cannot stop though at times I have the intention as I really miss my friends here. Due to time constraints, I have missed reading many friends posts, but I still try to read my VIP’s recent posts even I write lesser now.
Thanks so much too for your support, Lady Sunshine.

@Linda – thanks so much for being so supportive, I wanted to say it actually but didn’t. and Lady Sunshine seems to know what I am thinking and she said on my behalf already. A word “thanks” is not enough.
