God reads all the words we never write
But wish to God we did.
God hears all the prayers we pray at night
And those we wished we did.
God knows the words we meant to say
And how we feel about them.
God feels them all both light and grey
Our hearts, God never doubts them

We know ourselves
And doubt ourselves
But God’s Love, it never falters

God knows our hearts even more than deeds
For our hearts mean more
God knows our wants and wishes and needs
For God knows us more
God knows our path and where we’ll tread
Knowing  our life journey
God sees how it weaves with others’ thread
God knows all the tapestry

We know ourselves
And doubt ourselves
But God’s Love, never falters

God hears the words we forgot to say
Keeps them close to heart
Knowing the path can guide our way
We just have to ask
God reads all the words we never write
But wish to God we did
God hears all the prayers we pray at night
And those we wished we did
