This is a poem about a woman waiting a lifetime to become a mother.

I had waited what seemed a lifetime just to hear one word

and I waited, waited and waited……

I   would each doctor said that was assured

but still nothing and I so I waited…

It finally occurred to me waiting is just that

  no more than a wait

So I had to take notice to see that I was

Standing still hand in hand with waiting.

Movement was in order now if I  ever to hear

the word that one glorious word

Look down at my feet  always facing forward

There is nothing holding you but another word

  Fear….

And then like a miracle my word began to take shape

and like a hurricane it swept me towards it

life happens as it is to happen

waiting was no longer a mistake

It turns out that he was waiting too

that our words were one in the same

And we were always destined to find each other

waiting was part of lifes game

Timing was everything so it now seems

And when I finally held him in my arms

He was more than I had ever dreamed

   Mommy ………………………
