Someone dying is never easy, especially someone you love. Maybe this poem can sum up how one feels in a gentler way, and also remeber that whoever they are, heaven is very lucky to have tham.
Wouned angel, I gaze at thee,
What could possibly be so bad?
You cry and cry, as if it wont get better,
Tell me, why are you so sad?
What possibly could be so shameful?
I say as you hold your head in your lap,
You are immortal, you live no longer,
You dont have to deal with all this crap.
Wounded angel, with your tattered wings,
And eyes so white, they frighten me,
Your ice cold hands and frozen fingers,
Grasp a sword, no one can see.
Ruby lips and soft silky hair,
A warrior from the world above,
You look at me, as if you know me,
Embrace me as though I were your true love.
Yet I recoginse not your face,
Nor the thouch of lips on my cheek,
And thine eyes bare not a single trace,
Of answers because you do not speak.
Wounded angel, you sing to me,
Of worlds beyond the one I call my own,
You sing of hope, of faith, of love,
None of which, I’ve ever known.
You hold out your hand, and I take it,
And hold you close though I know not why,
I shut my eyes, and hug you tightly,
As I beg you not to say goodbye.
Out of my window we do glide,
As the night enfolds us both in embrace,
Through the air we are now running,
Against the clouds, we do now race.
You take me down to the church yard graves,
And touch the one you want me to see,
I look at you, for I know who you were,
Because you told me forever, we would be.
The last rose you gave me, I still have,
Still tied with that same black bow,
I love you angel, then, now, and forever,
Thats all I’ve ever wanted you to know.
Everyday, I must live without you,
Everyday I must spend alone,
Without you I’m afraid I’m dying,
My heart has now turned into stone.
I hold on tightly, it’s nearly over,
As the daylight tears you cruelly away,
That one rose you gave me, shall never die,
And forever wating, I shall stay.
