Write in ink, write in ink
To your mind let these words sink
The past, the present, the future
To be recalled, lived, and unknown is their nature…
…Tear those pages, tear those pages
Tear as you may, you can’t watch the past as it changes
You’ve written in ink that runs through your veins
And on your heart its left stains.
Write in ink, write in ink
To your mind let these words sink
The past, the present, the future
To be recalled, lived, and unknown is their nature
Fill those pages, fill those pages
With the words spoken throughout the ancient ages
Know the past and fear the future
The warmth of comfort becomes a cold stranger
Hold your breath, no hold your tongue
Don’t you dare speak a song
Of what you know or what you don’t
Close your eyes because mercy, show it wont
Read the book, read the book
Speak out, and see who looks
Feel the past and know that your future will not change
Your mind you first must rearrange
Bleeding ink, crying blood
You’ve done things no one should
Change your person change your being
Look around you and notice what you are seeing
Apologize, apologize
For all your actions that were unwise
Try as you may
But that won’t change the past of the day
Write in ink, Write in ink
Leave those scars through your soul sink
You can’t erase the past
It’s something that will always last
Tear those pages, tear those pages
Tear as you may, you can’t watch the past as it changes
You’ve written in ink that runs through your veins
And on your heart its left stains
