I found myself going to a nogalstic period in my life where everything I wanted was mine.Feeling a bit on the romantic side, this piece came to mind so I jotted it down.Someone may relate to it and go back to a moment that they counted special as well.

You asked me what I wanted for my sixth anniversary,
has it really been that long since we exchanged vows?
But in both our hearts it seems like it was yesterday,
but our curly haired daughter is going on six years old.
****
I ponder your question with serious dark blue eyes,
what do I want this year from my handsome husband?
I require no furs, a mansion or even a brand new car,
the gold and diamond wedding band I have is enough.
****
Write me a love letter I tell my patiently waiting love,
this is all I want for my anniversary from you this year.
Take me back again to the October day that I met you,
write me a letter to make me fall in love with you again.
****
In it you can tell me how beautiful I was to you then,
but in your dark brown eyes that fact hasn’t changed.
Tell me now that I still can take your breath away,
that an erotic desire is still there when you see me.
****
Write to me about the very first time we made love,
ecstasy and passion was with us in the hotel room.
That night we fell asleep in one anothers warm arms,
you never wanted to let me go from that point on.
****
Write to me about our wedding on that August day,
the gold and diamond ring made me your wife forever.
Tell me again about our honeymoon night we had,
let your mind go back to the birth of our daughter.
****
Write me a love letter about all of this plus some,
use your creative talent as a writer to say all this.
Let the words flow like a smooth flowing river,
what you are feeling in your heart guides your pen.
****
But most of all write that you still love very much,
that we will be a king and queen in our own kingdom.
I promise to write a love letter back to my beloved,
all I ask out of you this year is write me a love letter.
