This is about a person who can’t write a poem. Damn that writer’s block!

I sit and
I think
Searching for
Destination, determination, sensation,
Inspiration
But nothing comes to mind.
I need something,
Anything
Even remotely poetic.
I timeless classic or
An epic wonder?
Hardly.
An English assignment
Due tomorrow.
That’s all I ask for.
Is that so hard?
Evidently so.
My mind is a mess of nothing but
Words.
But nothing coherant.
Nothing that will get me the passing grade
I desperately need.
A block.
In my mind.
Writer’s block.
The words I want are there, lurking
Just out of reach.
The phrases I want
Barely unattainable.
I
Just
Want
To
SCREAM!

Writer\’s block sucks. Although I would have liked a bit about how to beat it, but it was a good poem. totally how we all feel.

I like it, but i don’t think you’re giving your self enough credit, you’re writing the poem, to release your frustration while you’re really asking for help on how to get the work done. We’ve all been there, since you’ve written the poem asking how to get rid of the writer’s block, write a poem to an imaginary person telling them the steps of what they might do to accomplish this. Such as, Here are the steps to break the block, take a hot bath, maybe a long walk, write down five things that you must have in your paper, start with the easiest one, even ask your maker. I think if you write as though you were telling someone else how to do this, to help them it might help you.
