Every writer gets stuck here and there when they write.Each of us has different ways to deal with it.

Some say that writer’s block is nonsense,
for there is always something to write about.
They say go for a long walk or take a break,
but a writer’s block is far from nonsense.

They haven’t wrote for over thirty two years,
wrote about just everything in the universe.
Rewrote it when their work was out of date,
recreating a new masterpiece for you to read.
****
It doesn’t always help to walk or take a break,
go watch TV or even read a long neglected book.
Playing in the park with the children is fantastic,
but it just makes you want to go back to the writing.
****
But when your head is full of ideas that is worth it,
write them in a journal so you wont lose them later.
Come back to them when you are ready to write them,
one or more could be your next great works of art.

But if you head is empty and cant write at all that day,
I don’t count this as writers block as some writers do.
It’s just my brain taking a well-deserved break is all,
it will let me get back to my writing when it’s all clear.

Then your memory files are ready to be restocked again,
files ready to be labeled as you finish your masterpiece.
Put away safely for safe keeping until you publish them,
then read other writers work as you wait for the comments.

So while writer block maybe a legitimate issue to deal with,
it can be overcome with patience and a break here and there.
It happens to a veteran writer and a novice alike occasionally,
but it’s not a bad thing as long as you still continue to write
