How to write poetry.

Writing poetry is simple. In this article I’ll show you how to write poetry.                                                             First thing you need to know is who you’ll be writing this poetry to. Lets say you’ll be writing to a child or children. You have to know what children like to know what to write to them. There is one thing for sure that children like, which is pets.                                                                                                                                                    Second Step: You already know that you will be writing to children about pets. Now you need to know what kind of genre. Let’s say humorous. Children like stuff that is funny. One thing you have to know when writing a poem to children is that you want it to rhyme. Don’t worry about how to start yet.                                                              Third Step: There is lots of different poetry. These are just three: free writing, haiku, and alphabet poetry. You have to decide which one to chose. Since you know that you’re writing a humorous poem to children about pets. Now you decide which one to chose. Children like all of those three. However, making a haiku in this situation wouldn’t work as good as free writing and alphabet poem. Alphabet poems most of the time are pretty long for children. Children like stuff that is pretty short so the best thing here is free writing.                                                 Fourth Step: You now know that you’re doing free writing. At this point you need to think of how to start your poem. Start with something eye-catching. Don’t start with something funny right away. If you read humorous children poems in most of them you’ll see the last line is the most funniest.                                                               Fifth Step: Finishing. Put the finishing touches on show it to a few children and if they like it then good job. Always put the title after you finish writing your poetry. That way you won’t be focused writing your poetry relevant to the title.                                                                                                                                                                              Sixth Step: Your done. I hope these steps helped you.
