Every time you start to surf the web, you find yet another site

that fires the grey cells in your brain, making you begin to write

about the very latest news of art, or anything catching your eye

because you simply cannot allow a single day to pass by

without consigning your thoughts to your electronic pages

about any topic that currently occupies the world’s stages

It is for me an unreachable itch that I simply must scratch

an attempt to hold on to a moment in time, as I try to catch

what was merely a vague notion until I began to see some light

taking form as my words built it into a form that someone reading might

see as interesting, or at the least worthy of commenting upon

the reaction that brings a smile to my face, driving me ever on

Times I feel lost are rare moments when I have nothing to write about

those are the times I will question my talent, instances when I doubt

but they never last long, the world a wealth of tales needing to be told

and I a wordsmith, weaving fascination if I may be so bold

getting my work into the public eye this what keeps me on my toes

Being bereft of good ideas at times are what cause me writing woes

If more people read my posts, they would see that I really do write well

and they then ought to be impressed enough that their friends they tell

to read my efforts for themselves and prepare for a reading feast

because of my wonderful, memorable style which at the very least

will leave them feeling well-informed, and wanting to see more

of work by the writer who seems to be of his ability very sure

The secret of the writing life, in case you really have no clue

is to be consistent, but above all, really love what you do.
