Judging people and their lives based on pure assumption.
You pass them on the streets almost every single day,
Reading their cries for help but then looking the other way.
You label them as bums because of what their asking you to give,
Making your snide remarks about the ways they choose to live.
You criticize who they are when you know not even their name,
Treat them as if their trash when we all were created the same.
You laugh at how their dressed at how pathetic they all look,
Assuming you know their stories and paths they each have took.
You go on about your day never giving them a second thought,
Only thinking of yourself and the “wants” that you just bought.
You think you’re so much better speaking of all the reasons why,
Assuming this was their choice and they have no will to try.
You judge before you know and you assume your judgements right,
But do you honestly believe they prefer where they sleep at night.
