The end of an era.

The sweetest shade of green
From there it could be seen
The front row to the bleacher seats
It lied there in between.

Surrounded by the blue
Emblazoned by the lights
We watched a baseball game or two
And even a few fights!

The colors, oh so vivid
Especially at night
We stood up proud, clapped our hands
And cheered the men in white.

We watched them strive for victory
And prayed for them to win
But now we must wait patiently
For another season to begin.
