A poem to forget and forgive…

After the dawn sets free,

for the new day I’ll see

from the dark I’ll step away

and begin life with a new day.

Yesterday, you’re like a gold

I always dreamed to hold,

yesterday your like a star

I like to reach above the sky.

Yesterday a flower bloomed

posy red with the morning dew,

trailed the yesterday’s gloom

pierced, then mocked by the surly news.

But misty yesterday

will never be today

for today will I stand

to the highest of the land.

Now these misty eyes

no longer for this man

But for hope that will rise

and for light that will come.

Oh this is the hour to wake

open thy eyes for thy own sake

forget, forgive and forgo

rise and smile then letting go.

Lovely poetry. Letting go can be very difficult.;)

Well crafted, Kabayan. Emily Dickenson used to write the same theme.
