About the baby boomers who lived through the peoples’ movement and remained strong and vigilant.

We Were Winners
Yesterday We Were Winners
Through Pain, Joy, and Tears
We Made It Through the Years
Yesterday We Were Warriors
We Fought the Good Fight
We Stand Today Relentless
Yesterday We Were Fighters
We Fought Hatred
We Fought Ignorance
We Fought Procrastination
Yesterday We Were Winners
We Stand Today Victorious
We Understand Today
Yesterday We Were Winners
We Know What It Is to Cope
Yesterday We Were Winners
Asleep to Defeat
Asleep to Retreat
Asleep to Giving In
Asleep to Giving Up
Asleep to Disdain
Yesterday We Were Winners
Today We Awake to Promises
We Awake to Answered Prayers
We Awake to Love Fulfilled
Yesterday We Were Winners
Today We Stand Full-Fledged
Pressing to the Promises of Tomorrow
Preserving the Past
Reserving the Future
Today We Are Winners

Unlike people who claim not to listen to themselves sing even though they are good singers or movie people who claim not to look at their own movies; I read my poems, articles, and other stories. I like the content of We Were Winners because the poem progresses to the present time. Yesterday We Were Winners tells the readers that today they are winners as well. Most of my writings have upswings and upturns or directions to better places. Yesterday We Were Winners is one of these type of writing pieces. Enjoy!
