Facing the truth.
YOU ARE ADDICTED TOO!
You think that I am an addict maybe its true
But this mon ami is what I think of you
You watch me drink the beer and the booze
And stagger around the house all day.
You just close your eyes to the truth
And hope family and friends stay away.
I stold your watch, your money and your real nice jewelry
I even stole your silverware made no difference to me.
But in the world of illegal drugs
That did not get me very far
So I came back when I knew you were sleeping
And stole your brand new car
Instead of turning my sorry hide in
Or talking it over with a friend
You closed your eyes against the truth
And let me come back again.
You watch my girth grow day by day
Cause from the table I can not stay away.
You tell fat jokes and make fun of me
Refusing to admit you are ashamed of me.
No, you don’t do the destructive things that I do
You are too good for that.
But you help me to hide and carry on,
So you are addicted too
