Heartaches.

You are leaving me

I remember when you were born

You ere the most beautiful that I had ever seen

In my life

In one more year you will be eighteen

Soon after that

You’ll be some lucky mans wife

I was there while you learned

How to walk

I was there as you learned

How to talk

Now you are driving your own car

All over and every where

And with self taught skills like an expert magician

You work magic when you style your hair

You are already taller than me

And thank the Lord

Much smarter than me

Some people say you look just like me

You were my very first Grand child

So you see

It is very hard to watch you

Grow up and drift away from me

It’s amazing to watch them grow up and so hard to say good bye and when they show you they can make it on their own you want to lay down and die. But you smile instead and hold up your head go on be that proud mother I said. Snooky they always come home.
