And you wonder why he was a bad boy – did he have a choice?
One Bad Apple
You were born bad that’s what they all said
From conception to your birth
You came into this word without a prayer
Or a hope
Bad they said -
You heard bad each day of your sad empty life
You cried to much – spit up too much
Peed to much and require to much holding
Bad they said and no dad
How could you have a hope or
A vision or think that you were
Anything but bad
You were a joke without laughter
So you took the label
Born to be bad
And you ran with it and wore it well
You fought stole and turned away
From the world that cursed your birth
And waited for your demise
You drank too much and ate the intoxication
That made you forget
You lacked reason to exist
And even when someone touched you
You didn’t have the ability to feel
You had become cold and cringed
At what resembled love
You were flat and frigid
Used your fist to fight
And pleasure for you was feeling your anger
Boiling and seeping from inside
Increasing your need to torture and destroy
What crossed your path
Bad they said – you became what they cursed
You to be
And when the life left your body
You were satisfied to go
Away from a cold hostile place
That marked your birth as a disaster
And a causality of life
Bad was the world you escaped
