Synchronicity, electricity and immediacy…

You know how near the lightning is

By how soon the thunder calls

A glimmer of eyes flash in the sky

Then rumble within four walls

*

A lion stalks its prey,

So near to it, stops, stalls

And within its throat the dulcet tones

Sweet destiny finally calls

*

No knowledge of proximity

No counsel of how close

Before time can give a warning

The crack of thunder grows

*

And what if one discovers

When thinking it’s right behind

The huge cat’s entire being

Is with you right inside.
