A short non-rhyming poem about the death of a childs dad.

You said you’d be there.

You said you’d be there; when I grow up.

You said you’d be there; when I fell down.

You said you’d be there; when I needed a friend.

You said you’d be there; when mum said no.

You said you’d be there; when I was alone.

You said you’d be there; when a boy asked me out.

You said you’d be there; every day.

I look for you; where are you?

I look for you; amongst the stars.

I look for you; I can’t find you.

I want to feel you; all around me.

I want to feel you; your presence.

Come back dad.
