What matters in youth is self and how it is precieved. The onlookers are strangers who appreciate or not the complexities that make up the human being. Here is a young lady that is being observed, and in reply to the glances, the lady is expressing her thoughts. Since this has been inspired by a picture of a young Indian woman, I have used “wheaten tan” to indicate the race, but it has been a challenge to weave the Punjabi thoughts into English verse.
These my young days I live,
Inwards I look less as appearances matter more,
Shine and hue so fresh on curves so mine,
Taut turgid stretched is tan haut over bones,
Features that make me just as you know me well.
These my wheaten tan in which I live,
Inwards I look and hopes does matter more,
Shine and hue so natural are just curves so mine,
Taut turgid stretched in my thoughts hidden by bones,
Features that make me just as you know me well.
These my matching dark eyes I live,
Inwards I look to witness why it does matter more,
Shine and hue so Hindustani preserves all curves so mine,
Taut turgid stretched by diet and working these bones,
Features that make me just as you know me well.
These my jewels glinting eyes I live,
Inwards I look for pleasure why it does matter more,
Shine and hue so inherited are these curves so mine,
Taut turgid stretched for years to grow with these bones,
Features that make me just as you know me well.
These my young days I live,
Inwards I look less as appearances matter more,
Shine and hue so fresh on curves so mine,
Taut turgid stretched is tan haut over bones,
Features that make me just as you know me well.
