As you witness a loved one’s decline into bad health, you see them change dramatically before your very eyes.
Your clothes still carry your scent
they did not follow where you went
they remained unchanged
while you went the other way
the body that used to fill them out
changed dramatically beyond a doubt
they overshadowed your thinning frame
as quite rapidly you faded away
